회잎나무 Euonymus alatus f. ciliatodentatus

 

가지에 날개가 있는 화살나무와 달리 날개가 없는 화살나무의 품종이다. 산기슭이나 산 중턱의 바위가 많은 곳에서 자란다. 한국, 일본, 사할린, 중국 등지에 분포한다.

● 회잎나무 Euonymus alatus f. ciliatodentatus  ↘  목련강 노박덩굴목 노박덩굴과 화살나무속 관목 

어린줄기는 녹색이고, 날개가 없다. 많은 뿌리가 있다. 잎은 마주나기하며, 타원형 또는 거꿀달걀모양이고 길이 3~5cm로 첨두, 예저이고 가장자리에 예리한 톱니가 있고, 뒷면은 회록색이다.

꽃은 5월에 개화하며 취산꽃차례로 잎겨드랑이에서 나오고 꽃 지름이 10mm로 황록색이며 보통 3개씩 달린다. 1~2실의 씨방이 있고, 씨방이 2실인 것은 밑부분만이 붙어있다. 열매는 삭과로 붉은색이고, 종자는 황적색의 종의로 싸여있으며 흰색으로 10월에 성숙한다. <국립수목원 국가생물종지식정보>

 

 

 

 

○ 봄에 피는 꽃은 녹색으로 화려함이 부족하지만 가을에 붉게 물드는 단풍이 아름답고 주홍색으로 익는 열매거 매혹적이며, 겨울에 가지에 쌓이는 눈꽃이 아름다워 조경수로 사용한다. '홑잎나물'또는 '홋잎나물'이라고 하며 새순은 나물로 식용한다. 무침, 쌈, 데쳐서 무치거나 볶음, 나물밥, 된장국 등에 어울린다.

 

○ 날개가 달린 줄기를 '귀전우(鬼剪羽)'라 하여 햇볕에 말려 풍치료, 광증, 통월경, 지혈증에 사용하며 최근에 암(癌)을 치료하는 효과가 있다고 알려지고 있다. 열매는 구충 효과가 있다.
