가시엉겅퀴 Cirsium japonicum var. spinossimum

 

엉겅퀴의 변종으로 잎의 가시가 뾰족하고 많으며 가시는 길이 0.6-1.0cm로 보다 길다. 우리나라 제주도에 나며, 일본에도 분포한다.

● 가시엉겅퀴 Cirsium japonicum var. spinossimum | Spined Korean thistle    ↘  목련강 국화목 국화과 엉겅퀴속 

줄기는 곧추서고 높이 약 25cm, 가지가 많이 갈라진다. 전체에 부드러운 흰털이 난다. 뿌리잎은 줄기잎보다 크고 꽃이 필 때 남아 있다. 잎몸은 타원형 또는 도피침형이며 깃꼴로 갈라진다. 갈래조각은 난형 또는 긴 타원형으로 가장자리에 깊이 파여 들어간 모양의 톱니와 가시가 있다. 줄기잎은 타원상 피침형이며, 촘촘히 붙어 난다. 꽃은 7~8월에 피는데 가지와 줄기 끝에 머리모양꽃차례가 1~3개씩 달리고 지름 3~5cm, 붉은색이다. 모인꽃싸개는 둥글며, 모인꽃싸개 조각은 뾰족한 줄 모양으로 7~8줄이 배열한다. 열매는 수과, 긴 타원형으로 길이 3.5~4.0mm, 털이 없다. 9월에 익는다. 관모는 길이 1.6~1.9cm이다. <국립생물자원관 한반도의생물다양성>

 

 

 

 

○ 주로 방광과 호흡기 질환을 다스리며, 고혈압, 어혈, 요혈, 유두풍, 음낭종독, 이뇨, 일사병·열사병, 장염, 종독, 지방간, 창종, 출혈, 토혈, 해수, 해열, 백일해 등에 효과가 있다.
