금붓꽃 Iris minutoaurea

 

꽃이 한 개씩 노란색으로 피고, 꽃부리통이 긴 점에서 꽃이 대개 2개가 피는 노랑붓꽃(Iris koreana)과 구별된다. 동북아시아 일부 지역에만 자라는 희귀성이 있는 붓꽃이다.

 

전국적으로 20여 곳의 자생지가 있으며, 개체수는 많지 않다. 중국 북동부(랴오닝)에도 분포하며 일본에는 귀화하였다. 중국 이름은 '小黄花鸢尾'(소황화연미).

● 금붓꽃 Iris minutoaurea | Grassy-leaf yellow iris  ↘  백합강 백합목 붓꽃과 붓꽃속 여러해살이풀 

근경은 옆으로 뻗고 황색으로 단단하며 수염뿌리는 황백색이고 근립이 있다. 높이는 3.2~8.8㎝ 정도이다. 잎은 좁은 선형으로 길이 11~26㎝, 너비 5~9㎜이며 끝은 점차 좁아지고 가장자리는 밋밋하며 주맥이 뚜렷하지 않고 기부가 보라색을 띠기도 하며 묵은 잎이 있다.

꽃은 4~5월에 황색으로 피고 화경은 곧추서 있고 끝에 2개의 포가 1개의 꽃을 싸는 정생화서이며 꽃의 지름은 2~3.8㎝이고 포는 선상 피침형으로 길이 5.3~8㎝이다. 외꽃덮이는 장 거꿀달걀 모양 또는 주걱 모양으로 길이 2~2.7㎝이고 끝이 파진다. 내꽃덮이조각은 거꿀피침 모양으로 길이 1.5~2.3㎝이고 곧추 선다. 암술대는 갈라지고 씨방의 횡선열매는 3각상이다. 삭과는 달걀 모양으로 예리한 3릉형이다.  <국가생물종지식정보시스템>

 

 

 

 

○ 노랑붓꽃은 전국에 분포하는 금붓꽃과 혼동되어 멸종 위기 야생 생물로 계속 지정되어야 하는지 의문이 제기되었으나 뚜렷한 형태적 차이점이 밝혀졌다. "노랑붓꽃은 꽃이 필 때 자방 하부의 자루가 길어서 뚜렷하게 노출되고, 열매를 맺는 시기에 자방 상부의 자루가 있지만 길이가 짧다. 금붓꽃은 꽃이 필 때 자방이 노출되지 않고, 열매를 맺는 시기에 자방 상부의 자루가 두드러지게 길다. 한편 형태적으로는 차이가 있었으나 유전자 분석 결과 큰 차이점이 나타나지 않아 두 종이 비교적 최근에 분화된 것으로 판단된다."
