노랑붓꽃 Iris koreana

 

금붓꽃과 매우 유사하지만 잎이 두어 배로 매우 넓고 꽃이 항상 2송이가 나란히 붙어서 달리는데 한 송이가는 먼저 피고 다른 한 송이는 늦게 피는 점이 눈에 띈다. 또 외화피와 끝이 갈라진 내화피가 또렷이 구분된다.

 

우리나라 고유종으로 전북과 전남, 경북 등에 극히 제한적으로 분포한다. 계곡 주변의 습한 땅에서 자란다.

● 노랑붓꽃 Iris koreana | Dwarf woodland Korean iris  ↘  백합목 붓꽃과 붓꽃속 여러해살이풀 

높이는 20㎝ 정도로 자란다. 줄기는 땅속줄기는 가늘며, 옆으로 길게 뻗고 원줄기는 드문드문 나온다. 잎은 창 모양, 3~4장, 근경에서 자란 잎은 밑부분에서 줄기를 싸고,길이는 35㎝, 너비는 1.3㎝로서 10~14맥이 있으며 밑 부분이 화경을 둘러싸고 겉에 마른잎이 남아 있으며 꽃이 핀 다음에 자라서 꽃대보다 길어지고 꽃대에 달린 잎은 짧으며 맥이 있다.

꽃은 노랗고 1~2송이가 2개의 포초 밖으로 나온다. 길이는 2~2.5㎝이고 외꽃덮이와 내꽃덮이로 갈라진다. 꽃받침은 황색으로 거꿀달걀 모양이며 꽃잎은 타원형으로서 끝이 파지고 곧추서며 황색이다. 포는 피침형이고 씨방은 긴 타원상 방추형이고 암술머리는 뒤로 젖혀지며 뾰족하고 옆에 줄이 있다. 삭과로 둥근 모양이다.  <국가생물종지식정보시스템>

 

 

 

 

○ 한반도 고유종 노랑붓꽃은 과거 울릉도를 제외한 한반도 전역에 분포했으나 현재는 전북(부안, 정읍), 전남(장성), 경북(칠곡) 등 일부 지역에서만 자생지가 확인되고 있다. 중국에도 분포하는 것으로 알려져 있는데, 한국에서 도입되어 야생에 퍼진 것으로 추정된다.
