<백두산> 흰자주꽃방망이 Campanula glomerata for. alba

 

선봉령에서 자주꽃방망이와 함께 흰 꽃이 피는 자주꽃방망이를 만난다. 같은 종으로 꽃 색깔만 다른 품종으로 기록되어오다 지금은 자주꽃방망이에 통합되고 이명으로 불린다. 태백산과 백두산에 자생하는 것으로 알려지고 있다.

● 자주꽃방망이 Campanula glomerata subsp. speciosa | Dahurian clustered bellflower  ↘  목련강 국화아강 초롱꽃목 초롱꽃과 초롱꽃속 여러해살이풀 

전체에 털이 많다. 줄기는 곧추서며, 높이 40~100cm이다. 줄기잎은 어긋나며, 아래쪽 잎은 난형, 날개가 있는 잎자루가 있고, 위쪽 잎은 긴 타원형, 불규칙한 톱니가 있으며 잎자루 없이 줄기를 반쯤 감싼다. 잎 양면은 짧고 거센털이 있어 껄껄하다.

꽃은 8~10월에 피는데 줄기 끝과 위쪽 잎겨드랑이에서 여러 개가 위를 향해 달리며, 보라색 또는 드물게 흰색이다. 꽃부리는 종 모양, 길이 2~3cm, 끝이 5갈래로 조금 깊게 갈라진다. 수술은 5개이고 암술대는 세 갈래로 갈라진다. 열매는 삭과로서 10월에 익는다.  <국립생물자원관 한반도의생물다양성 국가생물종지식정보시스템>
