비진도콩 Dumasia truncata

 

1978년에 통영 비진도에서 처음으로 채집되어 비진도콩이라고 한다. 초가을에 핀 꽃은 얼핏 새콩과 닮은 모양이나 폐쇄화가 없고 노란색이다. 가을이 깊어 익는 열매는 아름다운 자주색을 띠며, 3~5개가 들어 있는 씨앗 수대로 잘록한 모양이다.(드물게 흰 꽃이 피는 것은 열매도 흰빛이다.)

 

콩과 비진도콩속 덩굴성 여러해살이풀로 통영, 거제, 고성의 산지에 자생하며 일본, 중국, 대만에도 분포한다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

● 비진도콩 Dumasia truncata | Bijindo bean ↘  목련강 장미아강 콩목 콩과 비진도콩속 덩굴성 여러해살이풀 

줄기는 덩굴지며, 길이 100~300cm, 밑으로 향한 누운털이 있고, 흑자색을 띤다. 턱잎은 선상 피침형으로 길이 2~4mm다. 잎은 어긋나며, 3개의 작은잎으로 된 겹잎이다. 작은잎은 장난형으로 길이 3~8cm, 폭 2~4cm, 끝은 점차 좁아지고, 가장자리는 밋밋하다. 잎 뒷면에 털이 있다. 잎자루는 길이 3~7cm이다.

꽃은 8~9월에 노란색으로 피며, 잎겨드랑이에서 총상꽃차례로 달린다. 꽃자루는 길이 1~3mm다. 꽃받침은 통형, 끝은 비스듬히 갈라진다. 꽃부리는 나비 모양이다. 열매는 협과, 피침형으로 길이 4cm, 폭 1cm쯤이고, 자주색으로 익는다. 씨는 3~5개가 들어 있으며, 둥글며, 지름 4~6mm다.  <국립생물자원관 한반도의생물다양성정보>

 

 

 

 

○ 중국 이름은 '산흑두(山黑豆)'. 안휘, 호북 이남에 넓게 분포한다. 일본은 호카이도를 제외한 전 지역에 널리 분포한다.
