만주붓꽃 Iris mandshurica

붓꽃속의 여러해살이풀로 외화피편의 기부에 노란색 털이 밀생하는 특징이 있다. '쌍노랑붓꽃'이라고도 하며, 중국에서는 '长白鸢尾'(장백붓꽃, 백두산붓꽃)라 기록하고 있다.

우리 나라 북부지방 산지에 난다. 러시아 아무르, 우수리, 중국 랴오뚱, 연변 등에 분포한다.

● 만주붓꽃 Iris mandshurica | Manchurian iris ↘ 백합강 백합목 붓꽃과 붓꽃속 여러해살이풀

근경은 옆으로 뻗으며, 키는 20㎝가량이다. 잎은 칼 모양으로 폭 1-1.5㎝이다.

엽초 모양의 포 안에서 2송이의 노란꽃이 솟아 나와 피며, 꽃의 지름은 5-6㎝이다. 외꽃덮이는 숟가락 모양이며, 길이 4㎝이고 안쪽 중앙부에 4㎜가량의 황색 샘털 돌기가 밀포하고, 측맥은 검은 자색이다. 내꽃덮이는 서고 노란색이며, 진한 자색의 가는 맥이 있고, 수술은 3개, 꽃밥은 9㎜이다. 암술대는 3갈래이고 암술머리는 꽃잎 모양이며 2갈래이다. 열매는 삭과이고 세모지고 방추형이다. 길이는 5㎝ 정도 이다. <국가생물종지식정보시스템>

○ 중국, 몽골, 러시아에 분포하는 Iris humilis나 Iris bloudowii와 형태적으로 비슷하다.

○ 다른 많은 붓꽃과 마찬가지로 이 식물의 뿌리줄기와 잎 등에 독성이 있으며, 섭취하면 복통과 구토를 유발할 수 있다. 또한 이 식물을 만지면 피부 자극이나 알레르기 반응이 발생할 수 있다.
